It's hard to believe that in a few short days, we will have an eight week old. *cue the water works*
Now, I truly understand the meaning behind the old saying, "The days are long, but the years are short." The past seven weeks have been a rollercoaster of emotions, learning opportunities, challenges, and little victories. One of these days, I will have more time to go into detail and share about my eventful third trimester of pregnancy, Brady's birth story, and my current postpartum experience including the lessons we've learned since bringing our baby home. For now, I will cherish these photos of our precious little two week old in his Noah’s ark themed nursery. Captured by Linnea Kay Photography. ![]()
You can view my original nursery design post here. While we still have a few minor finishing touches left to complete his nursery like artwork and personalized pieces to be hung, I absolutely love how this room is turning out. Little did I know when I was designing this space, that my inspiration would be the same as my husband’s nursery when he was a baby. That’s just one of the elements that makes this room so special. Others are this custom hand painted sign hanging above his crib that reminds us of the goodness of our God and how great his love is for us, and the navy bookshelves my husband built with his very hands specifically for our baby.
I am so excited to watch him continue to grow and learn and play in this space made just for him. I dreamed of this space and planned and prepared for these moments for so long, and it is just as I envisioned it but even more precious with our sweet boy in it.
