Hey y'all!
Today, I have decided to share some of my home decor inspiration with you for our new house! For those who know me or follow along with me on Instagram, Ryan and I bought a new house! We weren't planning on buying a new house, or even moving for that matter, but by God's grace and his good and perfect will, we did! It has been such a whirlwind this past month, but an even bigger blessing. All we can do is give thanks to him for plans greater than our own! Don't get me wrong, our old house will always hold a special place in my heart because it was where our love story began--or, our married love story, but our new house is also special because it is truly ours. We are so excited to begin this next chapter of our lives together in our new home, and naturally, I am so excited to decorate!
Pinterest, Ballard Designs catalogs, and rerun episodes of Fixer Upper are major sources of home inspiration for me, so here I have gathered up a few of the photos that I have drawn inspiration from:
I love this "coral and spa" color pallet and plan to incorporate it into the main living and dining spaces of our home. To me, it has that inviting yet calming look, and is a perfect mix of neutrals and colors. I have always loved warm, sunny window seats and have always wanted one, and I'm so excited to say that I am finally getting one in our kitchen! (and by getting I mean Ryan is building it. How handy is that?!) I also love the look of this two-tone farmhouse style dining table. To me, it feels like the perfect place for a big group to gather and spend quality time together. Another favorite part of our new house is the loft which is just begging to become a snuggly little reading nook, similar to the one shown above.
From my little Pinterest inspiration board, I have successfully found several pieces that I love and that I feel like will fit perfectly into place in our new home! Most of these items were found through my favorite home decor sites such as Joss & Main, Wayfair, Ballard Designs, and Overstock! I love finding high end items at reasonable prices, and these stores make it possible for me to decorate on a budget. Some of the items we have already purchased for our new home are the gorgeous Safavieh light blue area rug, our beautiful acacia wood bed frame, and this comfy linen sofa. Next on my wishlist are these beautiful wood and mirrored nightstands, decorative mirrors, and the big, cozy sofa chair! Now, if only I could figure out how to balance my home wishlist items with my closet items! It has been so fun taking our (sweet) time to make this house feel like home, and I'm so excited to share this journey with y'all! Stay tuned for more, and let me know your thoughts about today's post! Little bitty love, Kimberly
