Fireside Essentials with Wayfair

Envision yourself finally getting home after a long day, brushing the autumn chill off your shoulders as you walk through the door, starting a fire in the fireplace, and cozying up beside it with your loved ones.
Is there anything better?
Add in some Frank Sinatra or Vince Guaraldi Trio playing softly in the background, a glass of wine, and a charcuterie board, and you have the makings of a perfect, cozy fall or winter evening at home in my opinion.

​One of the things I love most about our new home is the fact that we have not one, but two fireplaces to sit beside! There is one in our formal living room and one in our family room. (You can view my design posts here.) We did not have a fireplace in our previous home, and my husband and I both agree that we really missed having one, especially during the holiday season. 
While I know decorating and furnishing a new home takes time, I have been wanting to revamp our fireplaces for the fall and winter season since I know we will be spending so much time by them. A few fireside essentials we still need are fireplace screens, and I love these chevron fireplace screens that would blend in so well with our overall design. We also need a new set of fire kindling tools, and this pewter set would match our existing decor and be so lovely. I also love the Wabansia log rack shown above filled with these beautiful birch logs. To make the space feel even more inviting, I would love a set of these square tufted floor pillows and an extra soft faux fur throw blanket. Last but not least are these gorgeous and modern stemmed wine glasses, a set of marble cheese knives and board, and the Google nest mini to really enhance the ambiance. Can't you just see it?
I know I can, and I can't wait to make this vision a reality--especially the wine and charcuterie part after a wonderful but long 9 months. 

Now, the only thing that might make this scene better is taking it all in with our precious baby boy in our arms, the smell of a fresh Christmas tree, and twinkling lights around us. It truly is going to be the most wonderful time of the year!
