I am so excited to bring you all our very first before and after in our house--the half bathroom! This is the smallest space (besides the pantry) in our home, so it's no surprise it was the first to be completely finished and decorated.
During our renovation, we decided to enclose the funky hallway leading to the kitchen from the half bathroom, and by doing so, made the half bathroom slightly larger. To speed up our renovation process, we selected pieces that we knew wouldn't change, like the white, matte hexagon floor tiles, plumbing fixtures, and the bathroom vanity, and decided to accessorize it later.
One of the funniest features to me is the faucet. When you turn it on, the running water activates the kinetic energy, and a little LED light comes on. We didn't even realize it had this nifty little feature when we bought it, but you'd never guess how many comments we've received from friends and guests once they use it! After living with the space as it was for a few months, it seemed so empty and boring, so we decided to jazz it up! I love the classic, cottage feel that the beadboard paneling adds to the space, especially with this fun pop of color. Once I found this shapely wood mirror from Pier1, all of the other details seemed to come together. I already had many of these smaller decor pieces and used them in other spaces in our previous home, but I love how they look together in here.
I'm so happy with how this little space came together! Especially in comparison to the before. I'm so proud of all of the TLC we've put into our home, and continue to do!
